Oh, EatD is used to roughing it, even if people mostly still have tea-cups! They've coped with occupation, lack of food, execution, imprisonment, boredom, ersatz tea and coffee, and war, generally. I'm sure it'd have worked out okay. You'd just have needed extra comedy. But... probably not Hi-de-Hi!! ;-p
