I don't remember if I commented when you posted on the challenge, so here I am just to make sure. This is one of the best DW fics I've read in a long time, and possibly one of the best ever. You nailed all the characters perfectly, and the Doctor's change of hearts (now that's an odd phrase) was beautiful. I very rarely rec fics to my husband - he only gets the best - but I told him he had to read this, and he loved it. Thanks for writing this!
