Last night's DW made me write a drabble. Amazing! (It was v good. I loved it. And, oh, I love Clara. ♥ If you don't, I don't need to know about it here. Thank you.)

Friendly Warning
Drabble. Ian Chesterton, Twelfth Doctor. Spoilers for Face the Raven. It is possibly a mean drabble, but it was a thing I thought of this morning.

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2! Here's hoping you're continuing to recover well - and having a marvellous day! ♥

I had this 500 prompts fic nearly finished already, as it happened, so it's here doubling up as some sort of birthday fic:

Okay, so for everyone who said I should definitely finish off #1 when I did the WIP meme the other day, here it is:

Police Boxes Don’t Just Vanish, Do They? (4748 words) by lost_spook
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Doctor Who (1963), Public Eye (TV)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright, Third Doctor, Jo Grant, Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, Frank Marker
Additional Tags: Crossover, POV Outsider, POV First Person, Private Investigators
Summary: For one private detective, missing persons cases and inexplicable vanishing police boxes seem to go together

Also here on Teaspoon.

I hope people aren't too be put off by the obscure crossover - I was making use of Public Eye to do an Outsider POV for Doctor Who. (I kind of hope no one who actually knows Public Eye reads it, really. Bit of a nerve to go round attempting writing Frank Marker POV on this short acquaintance, but I thought it'd work rather nicely from the Doctor Who angle. They intersect quite naturally, but come from two very different viewpoints. /o\)

(I wanted to add in a section where someone from Polly's family employs Marker to buy off this random sailor she's moved in with, but realised he'd be in Birmingham by that point, so it was a bit hard to come up with any realistic reason why that would happen. Life is so hard at times... Still, it wouldn't have actually involved a police box, so maybe it's all for the best.)

At last! My effort for the 2009 [livejournal.com profile] sixathon.

Title Field Trip
Author [livejournal.com profile] lost_spook
Rating All ages
Word Count 5269
Characters Sixth Doctor, Peri Brown, Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright. And half of 1F.
Summary Ian and Barbara encounter an unexpected danger on the school trip. Luckily, the Doctor is there to come to their rescue. In a manner of speaking…

Written for [livejournal.com profile] infiniteviking who requested Ian and Barbara, chaperoning a dozen kids on a school trip, encounter an alien menace and are rescued by Six. Unfortunately, getting out of danger is easier than getting back to civilization. Cue thirty hours trapped on a TARDIS that refuses to go where it's told, during which the Doctor and his increasingly amused companions have to entertain a group of scared ten-year-olds. The sillier, the better! The youngest they could be was eleven and I haven’t counted out the hours, but hopefully this is silly enough to amuse. I know it was 3rd prompt, but once I’d seen it, how could I possibly write anything else?

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] persiflage_1 for kindly doing the beta-reading. Any remaining errors are therefore All My Fault.
